On October 18, at 6 PM at Agitator Gallery, Match Factory Editions authors and friends will gather for, as our Agitator Artist Collective hosts put it, “an evening of macabre musings and music.”

Carma Lynn Park’s spookiest short stories will receive a dramatic reading treatment by Zach Zajac and Nicolas Garica (fine authors in their own right and members of The Accountants of Homeland Security sketch comedy group), and poets Dawn Tefft and Paul Martínez Pompa will read their own death poems.

Rent Party, your favorite feminist garage folk trio will turn into your favorite feminist goth rock trio for the occasion, contemplating the inevitable with a variety of rhythms and tempos and three or more chords.

Agitator Gallery is in Logan Square, at 3851 w Fullerton Ave, and on display will be “Cosmic Traveler: A Memorial Retrospective Exhibition” of Ronnie LoBello.

The event is free and open to everyone. Snacks will be served, and you can byob.
