On July 12, at 1:30 PM at City News Cafe, we launch Through the Bronze Mirror, Carma Lynn Park’s debut collection of speculative fiction in free-verse and short-story forms!

Snežana Žabić will open with a few original songs, and Carma’s press mates Dawn Tefft and Paul Martínez Pompa will read selections of their poems.

Carma’s own reading will be accompanied by guitarist Steve Kaiser, who will close the first half of the event with a few solo tunes.

The afternoon will end with an open mic: poems, music, jokes, etc.

City News Cafe is located in the vibrant Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago, at 4018 N Cicero Ave. Come and sit down with coffee and a treat and enjoy the afternoon.

The event is free and open to everyone.
